Handmade Paper Fan Angels: Easy, eco-friendly Christmas decor
These handmade paper fan angels are a simple, eco-friendly craft you can make in minutes. With just a few folds and basic household supplies, you can create a delicate and charming holiday decoration with minimal effort
Materials
- White paper or gift wrap scraps
- Twine
- Scissors
- Beads
- Glue
- Tape

Steps
1 ~ Cut square paper in half and make two folded fans
If you don’t have square paper you can easily measure a square by folding rectangular paper diagonally. Use what you have! Gift wrap paper scraps or even origami paper is perfect for making these handmade paper fan angels

2 ~ Fold and glue to make the paper angel wings
Fold each paper fan about 1/3 down and glue where the dotted lines are to make the angel wings and body

3 ~ Glue the fans together and attach the string
Glue the two folded fans together to create the angel’s body. Thread the bead onto the string and tie a knot. Secure the string to your angel using a piece of tape over the top of the wings like we did, or use a dab of hot glue

4 ~ Finish and style your paper angel
Straighten your angel’s folded wings and slide the bead down close to the body. You can keep it minimalist with white angels, or make colorful patterned angels in different sizes from gift wrap. Hang your handmade paper fan angels in a cluster on your tree, or let them float gently from a garland: an eye catching detail that makes the season feel special!
